The Somatic Psychotherapy Certification Program at Seattle School of Body-Psychotherapy utilizes Core Energetics and the work of Wilhelm Reich, Contemporary Trauma Therapy and Indigenous Practices. Class meets 3 times per year for 3 years; a one year commitment is required.
We hold our life experiences in our body from the deep cellular level to strong muscle armoring. Along with releasing trauma, working with the body and freeing these physical blocks while exploring one’s emotional, thinking and behavior patterns restores the free flow of our life energy from our Core. This facilitates deep lasting change in clients and increases their capacity to reference from their true self. It enhances the ability to experience more pleasure, to find joy.

The program is conveniently established for people located outside of the Seattle area. Founder and Director Aylee Welch, LICSW, has been working with individuals and groups, studying and teaching psychology in a wide range of settings for over 35 years.
